Olivier Reyter joined CK on February 15, 2000, as a young technician, at a time when the company was stabilizing its growth. Today, as Technical Office Printing Team Leader, he looks back on his career, the evolution of his role, and his vision for the future.

Olivier Reyter - 80 ans de CK

You joined CK 26 years ago. What attracted you at the time to the technical field, and particularly to the world of printing?

I originally trained in electromechanics, which I completed in 1998. After a first job in that field, I joined CK when the company was looking for a technician. The recruitment process left an impression on me: there were several candidates, and we had to take a technical test combining IT and mechanics.
What also attracted me was the human aspect. There was already a real family feel. My father-in-law worked there from 1987 as a technician and later as delivery manager. He retired in 2015. In 2008, my cousin and in 2009, my brother-in-law also joined us. That sense of closeness and trust is something I still find at CK today.

Can you describe your day-to-day work and what you enjoy most about it?

What I like is the constant evolution of the job. No two days are the same. I started in the workshop, focused on repairing copiers. Then I gradually began traveling to work on-site with clients. As IT became more integrated into printing systems, my role evolved toward more coordination and support.
Today, I oversee the workshop, the helpdesk, and technical follow-up with our clients. What motivates me are the daily challenges and the ability to respond quickly and effectively. At CK, we truly listen to needs, adapt, and do everything we can to provide clear and lasting solutions.

Over more than two decades, printing technologies have evolved significantly. Which change or innovation has marked you the most during your career at CK?

I've been fortunate to witness a major transformation in the sector, especially with the rise of the internet and the growing role of IT, which changed everything. Thanks to this, printing systems have moved from simple reproduction devices to fully connected, intelligent, and secure tools. A key moment was the arrival of Konica Minolta’s Bizhub machines in 2004. This marked a real transformation of the range, with the introduction of the first applications integrated into copiers.
Print management and optimization solutions have become more professional, cybersecurity has become essential, and integration with both workstations and client infrastructures is now part of everyday operations.
These developments align with our promise: better understanding actual usage, controlling costs, and strengthening security, always starting from clients’ real needs.

Looking ahead, how do you see after-sales service at CK evolving in the coming years?

The service will continue to diversify. There will likely be more high value-added services around the products we offer. AI will obviously play a major role. We will further develop integration with information systems, security, remote monitoring, and support for change among our clients.
So, more managed services and engineering, always focused on usage and customer satisfaction.

To conclude, what would you like to see preserved in the company’s culture?

What must absolutely endure is the quality of service and the relationship of trust with our clients. That has always been CK’s strength: staying close, listening carefully, and building solutions that truly meet needs. Our future lies in diversification and IT, but with the same high standards of care, responsiveness, and reliability that define who we are.

Between innovation, expertise, and close relationships, Olivier’s story reflects a lasting commitment to serving clients. A great reminder that behind every technological advancement, it is above all the people who have been driving CK forward for the past 80 years
