Open API

The Open API is a tool developed by Konica Minolta to add features to the copier. This technology provides bidirectional communication between the MFP and an application server. There are 3 categories of applications that can be realized with Open APIs:

• Authentication
• PullPrint
• Scan

Open authentication API

They allow to create an authentication panel to an application of your company. This API can work in tandem with standard MFP authentication features as well as connections to an LDAP server.

Open API Pullprint

They are intended for printing documents. Example of an application where the documents remain stored on a server, the user browses the server directories via the Panel of the MFP, selects the documents to be printed, and asks the server to send the documents to him in print.

Open API Scan

They are intended for scanning documents. Using the APIs, the user can query a document management system or database via the multifunction panel to enter relevant information for the document to be scanned. The scanned document will be deposited on the server with an XML data file that will be exploited either by the document management system or by a third party application.
